Welcome to Ramp Up Manitoba!

What we do

Meet-ups are about sharing ideas. You can show off your latest demo, gather some feedback, attract the talent you need from around the room, or just take it all in. We’ll also invite some folks who have already found success here in Manitoba to learn from.
Ramp Up Weekends
A full weekend sprint to ramp up your innovation from idea to startup. Ideas can range from a mobile or web app to a consumer goods idea. Teams enjoy mentorship, coaching, full access to the Rapid Prototyping capabilities at AssentWorks (RUM’s maker-space partner), and best-in-class judges to help them on the journey to launch.
Startup Space
Ramp Up Manitoba’s brand new Startup Space launched in April of 2013. Built (literally) by the community, for the community. This space is a shining example of what can be done when a community works together towards a common goal. The space offers affordable desk space, meeting rooms, kitchen, lounge area, and is down the hall from our partners at AssentWorks.
Community Enterprise Partnership
We are currently building Winnipeg's Community Enterprise Partnership. We will meet six-times a year to share, discover and collaborate on major projects and campaigns to advance the Winnipeg startup community

Ramp Up Manitoba is a collection of Manitoba’s best up and coming entrepreneurs. I am very fortunate to be a part of such a talented collection of people. Everyone in this group is talented and driven and we constantly help and support each other. Being an entrepreneur can be a very lonely and exhausting experience, having such a great group of people around helps keep all of us motivated and ready to tackle all of the challenges that we will face as we look to grow successful businesses.

It's been great to see the energy Ramp Up Manitoba has brought to Manitoba's innovation ecosystem since its inception last June" said Jan Lederman, President of Innovate Manitoba. RUM arose out of the Winnipeg Town Hall on Entrepreneurship, sponsored by Innovate Manitoba as part of StartUp Canada's Manitoba launch activities.  RUM is a community of entrepreneurial developers and designers focused on increasing the number of technology startups in Manitoba.  "Ramp Up Weekends have rallied the startup community in Winnipeg, and feed nicely into Innovate Manitoba's boot camps and competitions, further strengthening the Manitoba ecosystem" said Lederman. "They have been a fabulous addition to the community

Ramp Up Manitoba is a great forum for entrepreneurs to share ideas and learn from other entrepreneurs.  As an entrepreneur-led organization, Ramp Up Manitoba does a great job focusing on the needs of entrepreneurs.    Despite being new, Ramp Up Manitoba has become an important part of our start-up ecosystem.
